ILCA supports the workforce that both reflects and serves the community to improve health outcomes for all families.
Today, conflict and disasters are causing displacement, famine, suffering, and loss of life, hitting women and children the hardest. Breastfeeding support in emergencies is life-saving and safeguards infant survival and maternal health.
ILCA condemns forced starvation, violence, and denial of humanitarian aid. ILCA calls for the protection of health workers and the immediate restoration of health facilities. ILCA demands vital prenatal care, including breastfeeding support for women, infants, and young children.
Breastfeeding protects health and survival by ensuring food, security, immunity, mental health, and resilience. This work is grounded in human rights, compassion and justice for every person.
