First Baby Friendly Medical Facility Designated in Rome, Italy
La Casa di Cura Santa Famiglia in Rome is the first medical facility in the region of Lazio to receive the Baby Friendly designation.
The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) assessment team, led by ILCA member Rosellina Cosentino MD also included ILCA member and co-founder of Mami (WABA) Rosalind Nestic̣, IBCLC), and Sabine Schweizer RN, IBCLC.
La Casa di Cura Santa Famiglia, has about 1550 births per year.
