ILCA Attends 15th Anniversary Celebration of Innocenti Declaration
ILCA's
Director of External Affairs, Angela Smith, and Margot Mann,
ILCA's Liaison to the United Nations represented ILCA in Florence,
Italy at ceremonies to mark the 15th anniversary of the adoption
of the Innocenti Declaration.

ILCA's affiliate in Italy, Associazione Italiana Consulenti
Professionali in Allattamento Materno (AICPAM), jointly manned

Congratulations
to Dandenong and Echuca Hospitals in Victoria, and Sunshine

by the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative
Seedgrants Offered by WABA
The World
Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is offering a Maternity
Protection Seedgrant for 2006 as well as a Global
Initiative for Father Support Seedgrant. Applications

Oklahoma State Health Department WIC Wins Award
The
Oklahoma (U.S.) State Health Department WIC Service and the
state breastfeeding task force won its second national award
at the National Public Health Information Coalition Conference.

ILCA's Education Standards Reviewed
An Education Task Force composed of Maureen Fjeld, Gini Baker, Marina Green, Mary Overfield, Cynthia Turner-Maffei and Jacki Glover was convened in August 2005 to review ILCA's Education Standards and to make recommendations to the ILCA Board. The group completed its discussions in October and the Board will now consider its findings. Thanks are extended to the task force members for their input.
