IBCLC Day

IBCLC Day is March 1, 2006

LET'S CELEBRATE!

Join your colleagues worldwide in celebrating IBCLC Day! This special day, held the first Wednesday in March each year, honors the work of IBCLCs. The theme for 2006 is “IBCLCs: Vital links in the circle of care for breastfeeding families”.

ILCA invites coalitions, providers, and public health groups everywhere to plan a celebration. It could be as simple as affiliates sending an e-message to their members to mark the day, or as elaborate as holding a reception to honor IBCLCs, or working with other local IBCLCs to provide a Free Breastfeeding Clinic on March 1. One group of IBCLCs did just that and experienced some amazing results! Read their story!

Whether you plan big or small events, ILCA has the resources to make your celebration a special occasion! [more]
